There are many different types of surface finishes for metal products to improve their corrosion resistance, like paint, zinc, nickle, cadmium, tin, phosphorization etc
For Bundy tubes, zinc is plated(coated) mostly, as an economic and stable surface finish for most applications. Organic coatings like PVF, PVDF, nylon, epoxy etc are applied to further enhance the corrosion resistance and even protect the tubes from gravel impacts on the roads.
The following table lists the availability of surface finishes for single and double wall Bundy tubes.
Surface Finish | Single Wall | Double Wall
Inside | Outside | Inside | Outside
Copper | OPT | OPT | STD | STD |
Zinc | NA | OPT | NA | OPT |
